I’ve been working on a small project recently and although the photos were completely amateur, the atmospheric soundtrack made it possible to give the right character and create a quite successful clip! Once again, the right sound was an important part of the movie. On this occasion, I also have a surprise for you! First things first…

It is worth focusing on the highest possible sound quality, both the one we record ourselves and the one that comes from various types of services. I do not recommend using the free ones; usually we will waste a lot of time looking for something interesting, the quality probably won’t be the best either, let alone the risks associated with copyright. There are a number of paid sites, some better and some worse. I have been using Soundstripe from the very beginning of my film adventure. But why? Because of a few reasons. First, the most important, apart from the obvious large selection of various types of music, was the possibility of a monthly trial subscription. Later I also appreciated, among others ease and efficiency of filtering the library thanks to the so-called tags, which significantly speeds up the entire search process (whoever has started editing at least once knows how time-consuming it can be). Every week, they add new songs to the library, which, as I mentioned, is really big, so everyone can find something for themselves. There are no restrictions on use, we can even get a license for broadcasting on TV. The quality is of course fantastic and the songs often come in different versions. Soundstripe offers Standard, Premium and Business plans (from Premium we also have access to a base of sound effects, the so-called SFX). Check it out for yourself, creating an account is free. And if you like it, by clicking on this affiliate link and then using the ‘kaktus10’ code you will get a 10% discount! Happy creating!
